Akbar Padamsee

Akbar Padamsee (born 12 April 1928) is a contemporary Indian artist and painter, considered one of the pioneers in Modern Indian painting along with Raza, Souza and M.F. Hussain. Over the years he has also worked with various mediums from oil painting, plastic emulsion, water colour, sculpture, printmaking, to computer graphics, and photography, as worked a film maker, sculptor, photographer, engraver, and lithographer. Today his paintings are among the most valued by modern Indian artists. His painting Reclining Nude was sold for USD 1,426,500 at Sotheby’s in New York on 25 March m2011.


Owais Husain

Owais Husain, the low-profile son of a legendary artist, he mostly divides his creative time between Dubai and Mumbai. Born in 1967 in Mumbai, he studied at Lawrence School in Sanawar, Simla Hills, later seeking artistic pursuits like painting, drawing, textile printing, dyeing, photography and lithography. The artist went on to join the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai. After completing his graduation (Painting) from Sir J.J School of Arts, Mumbai in 1990, he was in New York for a year and later set up a studio at the Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmedabad.


Sanjay Kumar

Sanjay studied painting from College of Arts & Crafts, Patna University, Patna in the year 1988. And was awarded Research Grant by Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi in 1992-1993, and the Junior Fellowship, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Culture, Government of India, in the year 1995-1997. He was awarded a gold medal in 1985 for Youth festival by Govt. of Bihar, Patna. Premchand Yuva Mahotsava (Gold Medal), Kalakar Sanghrash Samiti, Patna in 1986. Sanjay has held numerous solo exhibitions at Nehru Center and Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai and has been part of many group shows like Regional Art Exhibition, Lucknow 1989, Contemporary Artist of Bihar at Ravindra Bhavan, New Delhi 1989-1990 to name a few.
